HUH? Did you say something? All kiddin aside, I have the same exact ear plugs. $5 Walmart specials. Hang them from my rear view mirror LOL!!! When i got an MRI three weeks ago they gave me foam and muffs to wear. I liked the little foam ones better than my $5 ones. I have been pretty religious about wearing them since January. Once in a while i forget and will stop to get them I had thought of the soccer guards
Great minds think alike...lol...the foam and muff combo is the best protection. I get my ear bands from work. I like them as they are easy to put on and take off...
Thanks... Muffs are too hot down here in the summer, fine in the winter...l also found out the muffs don't work as well as plugs when cutting grass. Seems the frequency of the blades gets amplified in the muffs.
FIFY Lol That's quite a combo wearing a feed thong under the chaps. I mean I've worn gym shorts under the chaps on warm days while cutting, so I shouldn't say too much. I suppose that's the European version of my hot weather cutting attire.
Nice stuff Jeff. Just grabbed a pair of those tongs myself and like em. Spray Paint pretty much everything I play with as I put them down once and they disappear?
...we might have to ask a certain Eric VW about that feed thong thang.... I pretty much wear blue jean shorts throughout the summer.
I have to grab the rounds cross wise since it's cut 18". I had to tighten the bolts a bit and sharpened the points with my grinder...
Hey buZZsaw BRAD , just imagine the lack of mobility from a couple dozen stiches across your left thigh. Worse yet a cut Achilles tendon. Chaps are really easy to get used to. Protect your shins pretty well too.
As much as i hate to admit it you are right amateur cutter. Do chaps come in different weights/protection levels etc? Id be looking for ease on putting them on/off etc as well. Maybe ill post a thread and ask.

I completely agree T.Jeff Veal on the tongs, quite sloppy, and not the best grip straight out of the box. Will be modding mine as well. As to ear protection, I like the foam type, purchased a new box through work just before (or after) the GTG. $34.75 for 100 pair, not bad. I've lost enough hearing already. I also like having them on hand when friends come over for an afternoon of shooting. I usually don't wear them when mowing, but that may change as well.
Please do, especially if using a zero turn. They are much louder than a push mower. Want you to be able to hear us at the next GTG...
