So, the fishing derby this year is this weekend. Yep, had the billboard painted "PRIVATE RESIDENTS BEYOND THIS POINT", granted it might stop some, but the locals know there is BLM land there, they are supposed to access it from the lake but use our road anyway. Oh well.

For 2 days now a pickup truck has blocked the road to the BLM lot across from us, of course, the one WWW uses to turn around to back the truck in fill our water cistern from the tank in his truck. Also, others on our private road are stopping infront of our house to use the signal from our private cell phone tower amplifier. I am thinking about unplugging it

Unplugged. Speeding on wide one lane dirt road here is not cool. Ooops.

I'd be interested in hearing about your cell amplifier if you don't mind.

Semi-poor signal at the house and a little bit of boost would be nice if the price is right.

My model is now discontinued, but its made by Wilson Electronics and they have newer models. We ran a cable through the wall and up to the top of the chimney. We went from zero bars signal to now having great texting, more calls not dropped/lost, and WWW can get on the internet sometimes, though still only up to 2-3 bars and only at certain times but texts still go through with one bar. It was not advised and was told it was hopeless, BUT, I now have texting for sure, and sometimes talk and internet too.

I've never seen a rainbow this big in real life, off the bank last night with a lure.

Well, he finally entered the ice fishing contest here. He and lil one are currently tying bait sacks with the eggs from quoted post. Funnyiest part was he bought an "ugly stick" rod, bent it to show me how strong it is and it snapped :picard: It's all ok, they will use lil ones ice rod and the ugly stick with a broken tip or other improvised rods

That was old school ugly sticks, these new modern ones must have lower standards, a 3 inch gap in the rod and tip must be respected. Haha, I don't know, but probably cheaper built. I'm sure Shakespeare will replace it, or the store it came from.

Them ugly sticks used to be free replacement if ever broken years ago. May be worth checking the warranty policy.

Good luck to www and the lil one!
