Was at my local farm and fleet store today (Kankakee il.) and couldn't believe my eyes they are stocking stihl products and a lot of them.mostley home owner stuff but did have some pro saws biggest one being 362cm. Just for kicks I just checked there web site and nothing listed.farm and fleet is definitely a big box store her in Midwest .any buddy else been to farm and fleet lately ?
Lots of the stihl dealers around here are also Ace hardwares. I prefer the pure dealers, as they're more helpful
The full names are Mills Fleet & Farm and the other is Blaines Farm and Fleet. I have heard that at one time eons ago they were one company, falling out of partners led to creation second entity, don't know if that is true or not. This would be similar to Chuckie Cheese and Showbiz Pizza debackle back in the early 80's. Never been in a TSC -some 35 miles from me. Likely similar.
We have L&M Fleet Supply, a local fleet farm company. I bought my 455 from them last feb. Usually buy my chains there too. Their price is cheaper than Baileys list, let alone once you include shipping...
Westlake/Ace hardware in Omaha started stocking Stihl consumer saws. I do mean stocking only. No service & untrained sales folks. I prefer my long time Stihl small engine shop. Same Westlake/ Ace started selling craftsman tools a while back.
That's how ours are too. They have the stuff, but don't service or anything like that. They all sell craftsman as well
