Looking at the reassembled pot assembly there's a gap opening at the bottom which is not a good thing! I wonder how is a regular one is like as I didn't notice it before tampering with it. I made sure the measurements were pretty much the same. I will weld a extra piece to cover the gap.

That's exactly how mine is. I used furnace cement to make a seal. But I have to replace the cement every year

You're gonna like the extra air boost and don't forget to re-adjust your air damper back some. What's up with the chimney? The fresh air intake is very beneficial so make time ;)

My Chimney comes out of my basement wall and only has 14" of clearance to the ground,I want to get it up so the wind will get the exhaust away from the house.

Well the cold weather kinda snuck right up quick this year and I did none of my spring maintenance or fall before firing up the stove with what was left inside it from the spring. So far this year, just about every day I come home the stove is shut down in some error.

    Last week:
Auger time out error (lid switch is already bypassed due tot he extended hopper on my stove

No Vacuum error (seals were so bad and exhaust was clogged up a bit)

Smoke smell throughout house at 3 am (quite a little excitement for a while thinking the house was on fire and the smoke detectors all quit working. Turns out prior to fixing the door gaskets, the stove would let a puff of smoke out of the combustion area into the main housing every couple of seconds then blow that smoke through all the ducts. Now the whole house smells like my camp with a regular open fireplace... wifey loves it...

    This week:
Actuator limit errors every couple days. Time for another deep clean and make sure everything is just right on the burn pot assembly and not binding up.

Can't quite get the exhaust pipe to seal onto the exhaust blower out the back (bottom side won't quite seal just above where the sheet metal housing and intake pipe almost touches exhaust pipe and I can't get it to seal with high temp silicone (old tube that won't spread well and can't reach with foil tape, plus need to be a contortionist to get to the area with where my stove is located in the basement. So the intake air is sucking the slight amount of smoke from the leaky exhaust back into the stove.

Up until this year, the stove has been great, my lack of preventative maintenance is making me feel like an a@!
