I did until the motor blew a bearing, I've put the impeller on the Fasco motor until the casing got loose and started to make a racket. My original Fasco and impeller is also making a racket. I will try to epoxy it tight, fingers crossed!

I've posted my results in this thread, you gain on air capacity and throttle back the damper to compensate the extra umphh(pull)! So in reality, more top end performance with the sacrifice of the bottom end. More velocity through the vent if needed but in reality, you need retention in the fire chamber to soak the heat for higher heat output. Try the impeller only and you be the judge.

Thanks for the input. I think I will stick with the OEM setup for now and reevaluate once I have a full season under my belt to understand current performance.

My front door has a lot of play in the locking hardware when shut - anyone have this issue? The seal is shot and may be making the issue worse. Plan to get a new seal soon.

It can be adjusted, at least my older furnace I was able to. I'm sure the newer door style would be adjustable. Has your furnace discolored around the door?

I’m talking about the big front door, not the door to access the burn pot

I've removed the old gasket and put on cut strips in lengths of this product which is 2" wide to 1/2", you might have to double up IIRC.Aerotape™ - Aeroflex USA Inc

That all depends where the vent is pointing

I'm using Selkirk DT-M 7" vent(4" exhaust and remainder as air intake).
