If I put some pressure on the motor the noise goes away, mmmm!
Too cold tonight so a job for tomorrow.
The Lacrete's are smoking, 160*F at level #4.

Here's the scoop, the metal black casing is slightly loose from the grey casting and vibrates! It seems the motor winding will rub when pressing the motor. Could of that have happen when I switches impeller, had to hit down the shaft as it was too snug even with antiseize. Next time it'll be emery cloth the shaft while she spins.

So the OEM spare Fasco with original impeller is back in duty. I haven't taken notes on the difference of air damper position and heat output yet but will report back on any changes.

11% more air damper opening for same pellet heat(160*F) and 12*F difference at same air damper opening, so the bigger impeller makes a difference but is it really needed? more top end air if ever needed! Those #'s are for my tweaked furnace and #4 heat setting on premium pellet fuel choice, others might have different results:whistle:

I'm gonna install some studs in place of those four bolts holding the exhaust manifold, I'm having a hard time aligning the holes for the bolts and it would hold the gasket in place too;) Or is there a trick I'm not aware of:whistle:

My motor makes the same damm noise, sorry I haven't been on in awhile, had hand surgery then the flu!:faint:Matt told me to tighten the crimps on the motor housing with a hammer and chisel,it really didnt help,Also I called the dealer that told me about the st criox motor and fan, when i asked for part# I got "we have them in stock".
I use a drift pin, long tapered punch, when setting manifold back in place, seemed to make lining it up a snap!:smoke:

I taught about a drift pin to align the exhaust manifold, thanks for reminding me of doing it next time:yes:

It gives you more top end of air injection, might keep the piping cleaner? The Gleason/Avery motor? Mine got toast after a couple of seasons, not a believer on that mod!
This is what I noticed going back to stock impeller. Some holes in the burnpot have been sealed to increase more air underneath the fire.
