Junk & more junk...a good pellet will run me $325/ton easy...I know the LG's are not hot, but they sure burn clean...I could almost go 3 weeks between ash pan empties and that's with it running hard...

I ran Okies last year...not sure if they same as you, but they ran well...unfortunately there was no baseline established to compare them too...

I'm running Stove Chow which is a middle of the road pellet. But they burn clean and give decent heat. Gonna get a ton or 2 of Somersets this coming week (I'm on vacation till Jan 2nd). They are the best pellet around and provide 10°-20° better output temps in the plenum.

But I still think a pellet is judged best by what it produces at a continuous long run. If the furnace has to shut down the blower? The air temps will be higher than at a continuous run. But however you run it, just make sure you test at the same points so you get accurate results.

Yep, continuous long run is key to found out highest temps and to adjust air damper for fine tuning:smoke:

My stove just isnt heating my house.Woke up this morning and it was sixty in my house, had stove on level 4 and it was heating the duct 24" above the stove around 140*F .I can only get 150*F out of it on level five Thats running hardwood premium pellets.Pro pellets and Greenways. I put two inline fans in my duct work today,it helped some. Its around five above outside, the winds howling so real feel is around -15.What is really bothering me is my exhaust seems to to warm, like cant leave your hand on it for more than five seconds warm and ive have the air backed just a smidge of the factory setting and the inside of the stove looks like father times beard, so is that all she can do?
Im going to pop some tops:pete: and think about it....

Mine has to be on #6 otherwise the fan will be constantly on(princess doesn't like that) and might lose the heating battle against old man winter.
I think you should do the same, it's not a time to skimp on pellets:picard:It's cold out there:shiver:

But I do have another gear, it's all the modifications implanted
Try mixing some magic (Corn in the mix) and prepare to Rise up, rise up just like the tune :D

No Skimping on pellets here! I started off with 7 tons in the basement,I thnk ill be getting one or two more before the end of the season. This is our first winter in this house,so there has been alot off learning! My brother works for the propane co( heats with pellet stove) and he got me the gallons used last year for the house.needless to say i can burn 11tons and break even at the cost of propane. :jaw: Ive got her running on level five t-stat,I can count on one hand the times the room blower actually shut off in the last three weeks..lol I will get some corn for sure!!!! and rise up:handshake:!!! Magic mix like 50/50 or start out at 25/75? I also found out that the clean cycle on the stove is regulated by Auger On Time and prem pellet setting on level five drops the most amount of fuel out of all the other settings .

Burning around a ton a month the past two months. I did some timing notes for my older Fahrenheit on the auger and fuel settings and different levels. They were somewhat close but found some slower running speeds. Some settings had fast dumps and normal dumps, I stayed with the normal ones. The newer model has a longer stretch to the sequence so less unburned fuel dumped.
My mix would be 25/75 or less, not going crazy on it as I only have half a barrel left. The second stove is there if I need it for extreme cold temps like now but I'm holding back and see how this newer model is putting out!

The Auger time goes in 10 second intervals so on prem pellet,(10) the auger is on for 7.5 seconds and off for 2.5. In November, the second to the 30th,which is four weeks, I went though 50 bags,a ton,,and in December 1-29 Ive gone though 66 bags. Right now I am at about 2.5 bags per day. So I will be trying the corn mix for sure,I have a farmer Keith a mile down from me has corn for 8$ a bag. just needs cleaning.:fire:

Double clean to be on the safe side. I find when I double vacuum my pellets it sure doubles the time to do it:doh:
I got to figure a way to screen my pellets before vacuuming them, like a rotating screen before the vacuum part.
It would be a bigger unit but it should get the job done. My Spruce Pointe's has more debris where the screening would help to remove it.
My Elite's are much smoother and only dust present which one vacuum pass would be acceptable:yes:
My thinking is having 5 bags or more automatically goes through the process without been present so more time on my hands, the mind thinking machine will evolve with a patented system:thumbs:

I had the idea of a angled screen shaker deck dropping them into a 4" tube with dowels, vac screen then more dowels . Your thinking more like a trombel?
Vaccing pellets isn't a bad job.... but it not the only job:like:.lol

Like a trombel but in a smaller scale. A 6-12" wide by 3-5' long with 1/8"holes everywhere(or 1/8" screen) and the vacuum for the finer dust. Presently my vacuum fills up quickly. The shaker system would also work.
