    Sorry for not getting back soon but been busy. I used to run a corn/hardwood pellet mix. This year I'm trying a softwood pellet. Settings are both on #3. The entire stove has been cleaned and burn pot doesn't have any buildup. The only thing I need to do is to run a brush down the chimney. Cross pieces are cleaned. The combustion fan is running the whole time but the fire seems to get lazier until it goes out.
    I'll try to get some pics tomorrow and post.

    Oh, and by the way, it's #2936. Not sure if that's good or bad.

    Can you do a Leaf Blower Trick (LBT) after passing the brush in the vent (chimney). Has the exhaust fan and passage being cleaned? How long have you run this stove? Do you have a Outside air kit (OAK)?

    My unit is hooked up as an add on to my LP furnace. It has the outside air kit. I have had this unit since the year LP went through the roof. I'd say that on a scale of 1-10 on how satisfied I am it would probably be about 6. It worked fairly well the first year or two and has since dropped off. I really wish it burned corn better than it does. I also wish it would blow more cf of heat in my old farm house. It seems like this furnace should burn hotter and cleaner than what it did. I'm really hoping with all the wisdom in this group, I'll be able get this running efficiently like it should.
    I need to clean the chimney yet and do the LBT. Everything else has been cleaned in this unit.

    Are you aware of the rear baffle behind the ashpan needs to be brushed clean? Both sides, left is wider than the right side! Looking at the pics, the vent has a longer horizontal than mine right behind the furnace, good place for ashes to pile up. The top horizontal is how long? Is it a cleanout cap on top horizontal vent? Is this a 3" or 4" vent? Do you burn your corn with a mix of pellets? Moisture in the corn can vary from year to year.

    So, the vertical piece off the back goes up appr. 41" ctc to the horizontal that is about 55" into the old chimney where it turns up to go out the rood. There is a clean out on on both vert and horizontal and both have been cleaned. Only thing left is the vertical inside the old brick chimney. After the temp moderates and gets above 0 degrees I'll clean that. In the meantime, we used the LBT to see what would come out and plenty of soot was blown out. Furnace is currently working but flame seems lazy yet. Burning a mix of dry corn(14%) and pellets. And yes, the two holes behind the ash pan were brushed out clean.
    I've run a Central Boiler Maxim 175 since 2008 in my farm shop and have found the corn needs lots of air to burn decent. I'm wondering if having more airflow would help my situation. I'm thinking so.
    Almost forgot, it's all 4" exhaust

    and ScottZ , do you guys have a trap door on the exhaust blower path like I do where ashes accumulate? #70?

    Also ScottZ, I have trouble with #31, actually burned out an exhaust blower as I didn't know it was getting clogged :( Anyway that one little stretch of pipe affected my stove similar to what you describe.

    In almost all cases of lazy flames on pellet units, lazy flame = air blockage somewhere in the stove and/or intake or exhaust. Only other cause was a worn out (slow) exhaust blower.

    The battle plate behind the ash pan is part of the exhaust route from the heat exchanger down towards the outlet which is drawn by the exhaust fan.
    The inlet is all clear?
    You have a good flame on start up with air pump working and when the air pump stops the flame goes lazy right away or when the feed settles down to regular feed stabilizing approx. 1/2 hour later?

    The baffle plate is behind the burnpot which is also attached to. Large left side crevice and small right side crevice. Like Imacman says, tired exhaust fan can be a possibility. If you can, try plugging some holes with stove cement on the pusher/dump burnpot mechanism so it creates more under fire air. Bigger impeller like this helps on air flow;

    Quadrafire, Kozi, Whitfield Exhaust Blower Fan Impeller
    Just make sure the diameter is the same as the Fahrenheit's!

    It sure seems that way WW! ;) Could literally fit 2+ Francesca stoves, in the footprint of the 50F / Eco-65.
