Have you sunk it into wood yet? The biggest issue I've had with big aftermarket dogs was that they would pull the saw into the cut really hard and cause the saw ton bog quite a bit.

Not with the big dogs, still waiting on bar for more glamour shots. Then off to get down and dirty

Biggest problem with big dogs is they get pulled into the wood (even when you try to hold them off).

It slows your cut and makes it super violent.

Bigger saws with more power are a bigger problem. But a problem none the less.

Gitcha black paint marker to fix up those letters. They work well on the felling sights too.

speaking of bumper spikes, this is from page 12 of the MS 440 parts list, what is item # 30 for?

I have yet to see one of those on a saw. I have only seen the other two styles shown,

It's a limit stop. It doesn't allow you to dig in and leverage the saw when bucking. It's used for racing, protecting the muffler/crankcase, and other tom foolery.

I've never seen one on a new saw. I like them for the above reasons. Small saw with a good self feeding chain spikes are not needed. I made mine for my Jred out of SS

[QUOTE="Gunn, post: 276712, member: 1561" and other tom foolery.
Is that when your wife gives the green light to buy some accessories for your saw and you end up with two extra saws?:D
