Went through the 5 blink and nothing you could smell like they wanted to light but nothing

I think its more the boom thats troubling....which he should be concerned.

That being said, I also believe its a lack of air issue. My stove had a burn pot redesigned prior to me buying one because of booming ignition. Added more air holes to the bottom of the pot.

The new quad a couple years back had issue too if IIRC.

I have a new burn pot. It has 6 rows of holes. I can’t even get the thing lit in auto now.

I don’t get it. The igniter is getting hot. Enough to where it blackens some pellets but they won’t light. I’m at a loss

Is the igniter in the proper position? On a Harman can it only go in a certain way so its exactly the same every time it is swapped out?

I am assuming you can see it glowing orange during startup

It is in the right position. The cables are on the right side of your looking at the burn pot and I never took the cover off while it was going to see the igniter

If I remember, your venting goes up then into the wall, into a pre-existing chimney liner? Are you certain the flue is clean after where your pellet venting enters the wall? Have you looked in there past the thimble (assuming you can) as well as from the top, even if that means getting up on the roof and pulling the cap off to see inside?

Yup just did it the other day. Vacuumed the chimney out. Cleaned the flue. I’m at a loss. Seems like somehow it’s not getting enough air flow up through the burn pot or something. Idk.

Is there any way you can perform the leaf blower trick on it?

Did you say ina previous thread that you modified the air inlet flapper? Put a hole in it or something along those lines?

When the stove takes a long time to start (or doesn’t start) does it try so long that pellets spill over the end of the burn pot into the ash pan?

Yup. Tried it 2 different ways. 1 tried letting them spill till the 5 blink came on and then waited till they got close opened it up took some out and let it go. Same results either way

So I’m out of ideas. Also this weekend I took all the piping apart and used a soot eater and douched it all out. Then went up on the roof and vacuumed the chimney out and came in and sucked whatever right out of the flue. Did a draft test when I got home today and posted the results for that and the high pressure was like .05 high but the low I dialed right in and never lit. Igniter is less then prob 4 months old. New burn pot with gaskets, new exhaust gasket. Idk what else to do

I’m at my wits end with this thing. Prob the only thing I have never replaced in the 5 seasons I owned it was the distribution blower, auger and the board.

Can you check the ohms on the igniter? Not sure what they are supposed to be. But have heard some go all at once and some go slowly. Perhaps you got a chit one

But it was working perfect up until like a few days ago. It’s getting warm enough to turn the pellets Black idk
