    I clicked on another link below the article you posted, seems to be advising us to freeze credit. I think Midwinter is. I think I will too after fix my printer (news said internet and phones are all overwhelmed).
    Were you impacted by the Equifax breach? You risk financial chaos by doing nothing

    I got an email from Credit Karma and they said will inform me of any changes, and they already alert me to credit checks. I keep an eye on my bank account, so I think I am all set and won't freeze anything at this point.

    These credit reporting agencies are in the same sleezy category as credit card companies and banks.
