Put the black clamp of the jumper cables on the neg of the battery in your truck then the black clamp at the other end on the new eyelet you put on the wire.
Just pay close attention to polarity you do not want to do any welding or letting the magic smoke out. If you don’t know all electronic devices contain magic smoke that make them work unfortunately if you let it out of the component it’s toast.
I'm stumped! Ran the new fixed rear wire to the negative on battery. No luck with lights yet. Engine shut down when i took the jumper off, fired up with it on. I did this twice with the same results. Strange
These black fuse things have continually gotten warm through the process the other day and today. The ones on the left only
There may be additional grounds on the frame in the back. The black things are relays it’s not uncommon for them to get warm not hot.
I REALLY looked for more again. Yes the broken one was missed the other night since the spare tire was in the way, but im not seeing anything else. I cleaned and tightened 4 grounds on the passenger side fender, one on the driver side. Found two along the frame driver side, one being thr broken one and fixed today. Another from the neg battery post to the engine block and the braided heat tape one running from the firewall to the block Ugggggg!
Rectangular box with three large connectors by the battery. Pcm has little to do with the rear lights. They are controlled by the body control module in passenger kick panel.
Yes there is, the location should be listed in the owners manual. But if the truck starts the pcm relay is working.
Thx..... Put left turn signal on, both flash. Same if i switch them. Brake lights work. No running lights or plate lights..... wierd I'm checking the plate lights
Wire diagrams from Ford show both the tail lamps and license plate lamps using g400 the ground in the other pic.
You could cut the black with white wire and attach the socket side to the the battery neg via the jumper cable. at the plate lamp socket.
