The pool liner sounds interesting. If I do not build a cheap shed this summer, something needs to be done, as the tarps are not doing it for me.

Tarps do suck but getting some plywood under your tarps helps considerably. I pick up any piece I see that is 2' x3' or bigger and make a patchwork roof on my stacks. You can sweep the snow right off it. It gives the roof some structure and pitch. There is less tendancy for puddling. You can get a little overhang and even get under it as you hollow out the pile. Tarps actually last because they aren't getting caught on the wood. (Although the sun still takes them out.) I think it would help with a pool lining also.

It's pretty cool that you are making the house you want to live in perform better instead of buying a cookie cutter house. A King or two is going to give you a lot more freedom than you have had in the past. In addition to the freedom, I have found I burn a lot less wood because the peaks of the burn cycle aren't nearly as high and the lows aren't nearly as low. Also gives you the freedom to burn the lessers that folks are more likely to give away/deliver and still get the burn times. Good luck with the used King search but try to keep it south of I78:zip:

The silver tarps that HF sells are good with sunlight.. Blue tarps typically get destroyed by UV rays..
