That's Jay's "PELLET LEVEL LOW" early warning system.....the sound of the skillet getting picked up in the kitchen.

I'll get you a pic of my empty hopper when it warms up.

By my semi scientific calculations, you can expect to see it sometime in mid June.

My Fahrenheit normally does pretty good. I got 3 bags of Easy Heats (I knew better) 2 days ago.

I came home today and asked the wife if she checked the furnace. She said there was fire 2 hours when she was on the treadmill.

Well, fire was out.. I have to upload a pic, but my goodness was there a lot of pellets left. These pellets are rough and have LOTS of fines. This created more friction and stopped the pellet flow.

Pics make it look like a lot more than it is.

It was prob 5 lbs or so out of over 100 lbs?

Oh and I must report this was a batch test of Easy heats (had a small amount of PTL's when I loaded the 2 bags). But those pellets feel nasty on the outside.

Wow.. It ate every pellet.
Yep. That's what stops that hopper up. A good pellet with little fines and the Fahrenheit will empty itself.

That's why I posted the 2 pics. Showing that a lot of fines will roughen the walls and act as a binder. Rather than be separate pellets, the fines fill all the gaps and make it more of a Solid mass. Making movement very hard to occur.

Inside, I kinda question it? Not even any fines in the bottom? Every pellet gone? I had a Quad for about 6 yrs, and there was always some in the auger pick up hole. :emb:

Is that pics of a Magnum Countryside? I just worked on 2 of them in one day!

Here is the Harman P61 hopper. Good to the last pellet. It was still going and I added another bag
