Elementary School Concerns/Issues

Her teacher got a leash on her social butterfly tendencies during open math groups in class, he gave me "new math" cliff notes and ran through with me then allowed us to take her math book home for the summer. I bought a reading program (I needed help with structure and lessons, and, they assessed her reading skill level over the phone-not a cheap program but but thrilled to find the service and YES, I can still see the results listening to her read today). But KIDDO was the star!

Sweet thing was willing and very much wanted to impress us and her teachers and for us to be proud of her. She worked REALLY hard over the summer, even on the very hot days here when it's hard for anyone to concentrate much less a child (we don't have A/C, just a week or so of HOT here).

I'm just so pleased it worked out, she's back on track. I'm going to do similar again next summer, atleast the reading program again.
