I just received mine yesterday, basic 1660 model. Smaller than I expected and that's a good thing. It fits in a soapstone pouch on my Carrhartts , nice surprise for me. I touched it up on the sharpener and it has a good edge, shaved a little hair on my arm. Blade is thin so don't use the spine as a screwdriver. So far it has met my expectations. Now to see how it does in use... gonna find out. For $40, I like it, plus it's made domestically. Big Plus !!
I have to think at one point they Were made in US then things had to go cheap. If this is the same company that made old Hickory knives...
It's a QSP Locust. Specs: Blade: Japenese VG10, black - stain finish Handle: Gray Laminated flax Lock: Liner lock Ball bearing: ceramic ball bearings Overall: 8.75''(222mm) Closed: 4.875''(124mm) Blade: 3.875''(98mm) Titanium pocket clip Net weight: +/-115g
Got this one a new home the other day, based on a Dozier Buffalo Hunter i own. The handles is stabilized wood from a riflestock that broke. Blade is flatgrind and the handle is way bigger than the Dozier one. The Original one has more belly to it but than again i didnt wanted a 1:1 copy.
I found these zero tolerance clone's On eBay for 20.00 I've used one for months it's been excellent Holds an edge very well easy to resharpen. i bought three two to give as gifts One for me I still have all three And I always will.
I usually avoid clones but I bought a ZT clone a few years back when I was just getting started in tactical knives. I was amazed how good it was. Most of the knife makers these days use really good steel and some can be had for a bargain. Congrats!
I didn't know they were clone's when I ordered them They are unbranded on eBay pics But I was surprised at the quality of these 20.00 knives I usually carry Kershaw I have 15 or so. I don't have to take care of these I beat and pry with it at work. Apparently they are hard to distinguish from the original zt From what I read.
The one I have is a dead ringer. Which, at the price, I knew it wasn't legit. Like you said, since it wasn't $200 you might as well use it hard. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
No Sir, i can hold a hammer but thats way beyond my skillz. I really like them, well made and sharp. They look pretty good for clones, even on the papers it says Printed in the USA.
My EDC is a Buck Vantage 345. Also have a 340 if I'm going somewhere blade length could be a problem. My "dress" EDC is a Kershaw Leek.Slimmer and fits dress pants nicely. I used to carry a Case Stockman. They are great knives but I like the one hand opening and pocket clip.
Early Christmas present to myself, a #32 drop point with ironwood scales from Wayne Hendrix. It fits right in with my others from him.
Super nice looking knives!! Is he someone local to you or just someone you found and continue to enjoy his creations? Do you know what type of steel he is using?
