For Red97-Are you going to sell these 590s when you get done with them?

    between 13,800-14,200

    little lean, 14,800-15-300+

Old ebay carb, think a kit will fix it up. Chain got ran into the dirt before thes videos, decent chunk of hickory 20" bar.

Bout 14,400 this thing comes alive...

Sounds very happy Joe! Where'd you pick up the extra revs? With the carb?

After watching Mastermind's ported Dolmar 6100 I might have to take one for the team and let you fondle its innards and see how it stacks up against this saw! Great work as usual!

    Thank you,

Yep swapped a 670 carb on it. Think it needs a kit, Used stright off ebay.

But it let's me lean it out where needed.

Definitely woke up... a little on the lean side this thing is just plain pizzed off.

I'm sure we can do something with your 6100 :)

Just depends on my work schedule. Or I could drop the tools off while I'm out of town :)

Would have to play with one some more to let it grow on me. I think they are a teeny tiny bit over-rated on the forums :BrianK:[IMG] but hard to deny that they offer a lot for the price point.

That is however, the best running 590 I've seen yet. I do t think she's all that lean in the second vid. Sounded pretty happy to me!

    100% stock, same chain etc

Ok, still haven't kitted the carb, but got some run time on this thing. turning into quite the ringer.... It may even benefit from the cs 8000 carb....

Outran both of my 670/6700's... even with the 32"

Yeh that is some soggy hikory, but this was 5-6 seconds quicker than the 670/6700.

Think it could benefit from some more compression....

Joe is a great and honest guy! I had the good fortune to run this saw recently and I can say it's a beast! Somebody is going to be very happy with it! :saw:

Yes. They are nice, and respond well to porting. Darn nice firewood saws. Personally like this chassis better tho.

Let a friend run the 730 today 25" bar. Seems to pull along better than I was expecting.

    His 590 I ported 24" with a fresh chain.

Does well, but doesn't seem to pull as hard when the pressure is increased.

Filled the decomp hole to finish off the "sleeper " look, added a 28" lightweight. Have a unlimited coil, and larger carb to try out.[IMG][IMG]
