    Your tree guy must not be in the firewood business as a side gig as a lot of tree service guys are. White Oak is my main bread and butter in the firewood business. Seven out of seventeen face cords I sold this week was white oak. I would be in Nirvana if rounds got dumped in my woodyard for free.

    The tree guy I call when I need help with a tree isn't in the firewood business as a side gig. His son is or used to be. Last time I talked to him he said to call his office and put my name/number on their dump list as he likes to dump as close to where he is cutting as possible. I never called as I figure I don't want the yard full of poplar that his son doesn't want. Maybe I should call as the guy is getting pretty close to 90 and his kids/grandkids must be taking over more of the business now.
