    Ha ha! I’d love to see your wood yard if you had 3 acres. Yes, very little humidity, lots of sun and a pretty constant breeze. One year is more than enough dry time for any type of green wood I’ve ever scrounged. There is Gambel Oak where I live. I do collect a fair amount of it. It’s amazing firewood, but small in diameter. The big Oaks like you have are basically yard and park trees in the city. Pretty tough to get my hands on.

    I have a 44' section of oak not yet cut (limbed tho).

    Half serious here, but I know the cost of gas would be more than the wood is worth.
