Need to wait and see what happens. All of the thunderstorms have missed my neighborhood lately. Plenty of lightning and thunder in the distance but barely a minute of drizzle here in the past 2 weeks. We can use some rain on the garden
It seems the big storms will stay well south of us, stay safe. We had some strong thunder move through early this morning with some rain but nothing real bad. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/nebraska-to-illinois-face-wide/28041925
Supposed to get some stuff here tomorrow. 2-3 inches of rain and this: OUTLOOK: THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR ORGANIZED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. THREATS WITH THESE STORMS WILL INCLUDE TORNADOES...DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...HEAVY RAIN...FLOODING...AND LIGHTNING. THE THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL BE HIGHEST FROM THE LATE MORNING THROUGH EARLY EVENING HOURS WEDNESDAY. I don't need any more hail. And we got 1.25" of rain in 15 minutes yesterday...don't need any more of that either.
More bad news, I saw that at the end of June the Mid-Atlantic area might have it's first hurricane coming up.
Do you have a link for that wOOdy? Although we are inland 1.5 hrs, Sandy hit approx 2 hrs SE of here right at the category 2 mark, and it wasn't pretty.
Not really, I was reading the Farmers' Almanac, it was in there forecast at the end of June, I'll check it again tonight. http://www.farmersalmanac.com/weather/2014/04/28/will-this-summer-be-a-scorcher/
You have quite the band coming woody..... storms ahead of this line coming later are all around me, but missing us for now
Thank you, looks like tropical storm late in july as well for NE coast! Lets hope the farmers that wrote this are wrong....
Sunshine is back 67° & mostly sunny But the rain was needed , we get a week o decent weather then rain forecast again.
