Keep trying.....WS.....I drug those nasty things around for almost 20 years of and on. Been since 98 now. I had a wonderful doctor at that time and I really wanted to give them up (that is half the battle, as just reaching for one is as much of an addiction as the nicotine). I was having some stomach trouble and went to my doctor for that and he looked right at me and said "are you still smoking a pack a day ?" Yep doc I am.....what the hell you doing in here looking for my help if you can't even help yourself he said. That was all it took....he gave me some wellbutrin that I used for about 2 weeks to get over the hump.
I'll also share another story that I just found out from my sister after my Dad's funeral last week. I remember my Dad smoking a pipe when I was a little boy and barely remember him smoking cigars before that. I also knew he had smoked cigarettes before that but he had quit everything but never heard the story behind it. My Dad was approached at church to become an elder as they had to be nominated by someone, then voted on. Dad told them he could not do that as he had something to take care of but if they ask him the next year he would. He would not say why when they ask but went home that day and set his pipe down to never pick it up again. He served as an elder for many years after he was elected the next year. Now I'm not saying anything like you are going to hell for smoking I just shared that because it made me even prouder of my Father. He felt that he had an addiction that he needed to address before his heart was in the right place.

    I fell off.
My biggest problem is finding the right juice to live with, me being a mental freak.
I don't need any Fruity crap I just want something to replace the Menthol cigarette.
It also becomes a problem when I drink beer

I have been making my own cigs for a long time, I feel bad I have all this money tied up in Vape gear and I'm still making cigarettes.

Giving up cigs is VERY HARD:hair:

I could not get used to the ecig. Kept forgetting to push the button, kept laying it in my ashtray among others. Of course I will have to revisit it.

I wish I could find a reliable way to keep my e-cigs running. It seems they work great and then all the sudden leaking or gurgling or whatever just out of the blue for no reason. When my e-cig works well, I still smoke, but 5-8 cigs a day is no problem. In fact, much to my surprise when I first tried them, they do deliver adequate nicotine, but it rolls in a bit slow.

Eldest son quit a couple months ago using the e-cig. He's now off that too. Youngest son is using the e-cig and hasn't had a cigarette in 48 days. Hoping he can get off the e-cigs too.

It's a bear to quit. I quit for seven years and went back. Right now I'm off the butts for five years. Smoke cigars and pipes though. Started that after I got the urge a couple years ago to start cigs again. It ain't easy, and I give anyone a lotta credit if they can do it. One thing, never give up even if you fall off the wagon a time or two. You can always try quitting again.

It has been 2 years today with no smokes. Still use the vape daily but am down to mixing 3 and 0 on the nicotine. Like others have said the biggest draw back is the weight gain. I have put on almost 30 pounds in 2 years. Need to find more wood to css. Good luck to all who are trying to quit.
