Chad, I haven't followed this on AS and am really no pro, shoot not even an armchair builder, but how hard is it to take more data between 11.5 and 12.5k. 10 points in there should give you a better profile of what's happening.

I'm also in the camp of "who cares, it doesn't cut there, run it" btw

    Nice work.

If the saw will be cuttin at 11000 the 660 coil made .3hp more than the 460 coil? So would u guys take .15hp at 10000 or .3hp at 11000?

I like the original coil curve from 10000 to 11000

Chad how long in seconds is the dip from 11500 to 13000. If its a split second one can almost straighten the line straight from 11500 to 13000. Its not like the saw is hanging there?

I don't think you gained much in the way of usable power with the second graph. (460 coil?).

Stay with the 660 unlimited coil and ditch that prefilter.

Mmmm...Im a little slow I guess...:emb: I didn't realize that the 461 was Mtronic... Did it just come out or just not a whole lot of excitement about it? I've heard more on the 441 and 661. But those graphs have a few day dreams going on in my little head.... This has been a interesting post.

I've hears 461 won't go mtronic to keep the pursts from jumping ship that don't want sprig av and electronic carb control.

    I'm here now.

My little girl (32) had to have some tests run. She needs a valve replaced in her heart.

Saws ain't that important by comparison.

    So to recap.

The 660 coil, and the 460 seemed a bit different......but Chad re-tuned the saw.

So, are we seeing the difference in the new tune? Or do the coils have different advance curves that make that much difference?

Very interesting stuff......and it's been said that dyno tuning makes more questions than it provides answers to. I see that now.

I'd like to see a run without an air filter too.....but I still think we might be seeing a lean condition at about 12K.

Thanks for bringing this here Chad. I'm all for testing any of my saws here.

    Your 261 is here BTW.
