Dyno tested........Ported 461 vs stock 461

    The maple I've been milling this week was 9' long and was almost maxing my 30" mill out on one end. I had to noodle a little bit off to get it to finish a couple cuts. Burning almost a whole tank in one cut.

    When I tested the 110 octane vs 93 octane in my ported 660 the 110 octane cut close to 10% faster. The saw was tuned for 110 at 13600. When I added the 93 the rpms increased close to another 200 rpms. Looking at the dyno results if I would have retuned for the 93 it would be faster.

    Chad, I really thought the 110 would show an advantage due to the high compression of my ported 660. But it didn't. Looks like a slight advantage for the lower octane.

    Not right now. I haven't got much run time on any with it yet. They've all had Motul the last 8 gallons worth.
