The "only" thing I'll miss about N.J. when I move is what people throw out sometimes! I was coming home from the store to see a dumpster in front of a home about a block away and an elderly woman had since passed. The Middle aged children were cleaning out the house and the garage was last in the dumpster. 99% was complete junk but sticking out from the heap was a handle that I "just had to grab".... and behold! God only knows how old it is, but the price tag of $13.50 is still on it!
Nice save, Dave! Looks like that puppy has been on the floor and leaning up against a wall for a long time. I'd be half tempted to sharpen it up real good, throw some oil on it as it sits and leave as is; oily rust, stickers and all. It's not all that old per se, but it will be someday and someone might appreciate the history when "someday" comes. Best part of it...Made in the U.S.A.
Gonna do just that!!! I had that in mind. It isn't real bad at all as far as being sharp. I don't think it was used maybe a few times! I firmly believe that, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!!! fresh edge and oil! That's it.
