We’ve had 1.15” in the last 5 weeks and most of those days have been 90+. Farmers irrigation holes and wells can’t keep up

Nope - I tried to buy it before he "improved" it but they didn't entertain my offer for 3x what he paid (plus property taxes he had paid the 3 years he owned it). There was no way I was paying the asking price. He claims to have put in $10k in improvements and jacked the price up to $50k - for 0.3 acres.

The catch basin from the "swamp" nest door just has some moist ground - no water. This is usually full and draining down the bank (the drier area toward the top of the pic) into the drainage area on my property. The depth isn't apparent in the picture but the basin is a good 2' deep

The water source on the opposite side of that property is still flowing a bit - can't see it but I could hear a faint trickle.

I cut lawns and there are properties I havent cut (or just cut for the first time this past week) since early-mid July. Everything is brown if there isnt an irrigation system.

Received 1/8" of ran all of last week. I did mow the drainage areas Friday afternoon, but left the rest of my yard alone. Won't be mowing the neighbor's yard. Supposedly going to get a soaking rain on Monday, but we'll see. Be happy if we do!

It rained pretty good this morning (not sure how long) but the rest of the day was misting or no rain. It looks like after tomorrow it will be a nice week and then maybe some cooler temps move in.

Had some nice slow rain since early yesterday morning. Very slow. Uesterday I had 1/4" by 10 am (it started raining very early am), 1/2" by 8 pm, and this morning I'm up to 1" of precipitation. I guess you can't really call that rate of progression "rain", but I'll take it and it was slow enough to let it soak in instead of runoff.

Over the past two days, we've received just about 6 inches of rain.

You must have been in that train of rain that closed I-95 for a little while. Just under 1.5 inches down this way. Every green plant thing is now a much healthier shade of green.

I'm be doing some mowing this weekend - and not just selected areas - 5:30 pm on Monday

    Rain 9-5-22 evening.jpg

    9:30 yesterday morning
    Rain 9-6-22 mrn (no dump).jpg

    5 pm last night
    Rain 9-6-22 eve (no dump).jpg

I did not dump the gauge between pictures. The rain was perfect in that I never got any downpours so it all soaked in.

I got rain from early yesterday morning until late evening. If I read the gauge right (reading in the dark, byu flashlight from 20' away), it looks like about 1.5".

If that is correct, then I've received 3.5" in 8 days - which is probably more than I had received in total over the prior 2 months. I could hear water trickling down the drainage ditch while retrieving my mail yesterday afternoon, which means the catch basin next door is full.

We were supposed to get "significant" rain Monday night into Tuesday morning....we got 0.15". There is virtually no rain forecasted in the next 10 days with mostly above average temperatures.

We had some major rain ( haven't seen it rain like that in a long time) yesterday and we got somewhere between two and four inches. Not sure because my rain gauge has to be emptied at 5 inches and it had 1.5 in it from a couple days previous.
