Loading the wood box yesterday, Down to the last row. Some 4 year , real dry wood left now Should have some left over if April is the last burn month. Closing in on 14 hours of daylight, heat from the sun now, mid 40°s in the afternoon. around 22° at night.
Sweetness....looking there.. Now how will you do that restock that? Just kinda of curious, since I don't have a wood shed yet.
Nice looking stuff. Your temps & overall weather these days are almost identical to Maine right now. We still have way more snow here than even 15 miles south in town. And Portland is really getting bare except for a few piles here and there. (They ought to be gone by August… )
same kind of temps here at present, down to the last 1/3 of a cord of dry wood under cover at home. But I do have another cord here at the shop off gassing the last few weeks of snow showers and rain/ sleet mixes, so I am in good shape till sometime in May.
That near-empty shed bin is just begging to be refilled. You done good this winter keeping the BK King's appetite satisfied.
That's what this stack is for, refill the shed section for 16/17. Looks like I will have some left over this "years wood" , not sure where & how to stack it so it stays dry & gets used first next year. Premium stuff , 4+ years CSS
I CSS the wood to replace it last Oct. It will stay stacked out back till just before rainy season starts (around mid August) then I'll fill the shed. I might put a row or two in the shed sometime before that , it'll still get good air circ with just 2 rows. It will be burned in 2016/17 burn season
