I agree. And not a sign of any nutmeg wood from them. Go figure.

Don’t worry. We’re running right through Mass on our way out. LOL
We both have pretty good weather patterns. That’s about it. Everything else is FUBAR.

Lots of mulberry in my area. It doesn't get the respect of oak, hickory and hard maple but it is good firewood. Straight sections split nice but there is usually not a lot of straight sections due to the way it grows (overgrown bush). Love the way the fresh cut wood is mustard yellow and in just a few weeks turns to brown. Good score!

Thanks Brad! I saw that it's a new company. Ironically, ordered some garden soil from them a month or so ago. Same company that does our residential weekly trash pickup.

Grows like a weed around here, all sorts of it on my property, been burning it for 40 years, not impressed by any means. Bur Oak continues to be my go to wood.

Decided to consolidate all the mulberry in one stack. Had maybe three wheelbarrows full from a couple small scores earlier this year at my friends plus what i scored at the dump recently. Stack is 5' wide (in the center) by 7' tall. Add all the nuggets and shorts (not pictured) makes about a half cord. Cool how it turns dark red brown over time. IMG_2787.JPG

You need more Mulberry, and a lathe. Probably make some nice projects with that wood.

We certainly don’t deserve that recognition anymore. We’d be better off looking for nutmeg trees LOL

Now you've picked up my hoarding disorder! Little stacks all over the yard of specific wood types! Pretty soon you will be organizing by age as well as species...

Why thank you Mike, thank you very much. ( E. Pressley)
So which is it: Nutmeg or constitution ? Under law a state may have only one ( single, uno ) designation. :deadhorse:
How about the "MULBERRY STATE" ?:singingintherain:

I do already. Ill keep current green wood together unless oak (which im shying away from) and hickory or SS wood.
I usually will mix into "general cordage" one year seasoning woods...ash (unless dead which most is now), maple, cherry, beech, birch etc. Rare scrounges will get separate stacks. I have a small mound of apple and walnut splits i have to find a place for. SS wood gets its own stacks although i will mix a few in with general cordage.
Dont know if ill get more mulberry...most has been a dump scrounge. Ill deal with the storage dilemma when the time comes. Makes a stack behind this one?
