I must be living high off the hog then. I'm at about 1/2 of mine; the rest stays in the bank waiting for the next project!

I have no debt. Small house - paid off so my housing is property taxes - $250/month this year. Kinda expensive place to live but I'm not moving to Florida or Arizona like I once thought I might. Nor buying a second house there. Almost did in 2010 but didn't.
No car note. No other debt. Just insurances. Carrying a mortgage into retirement has to be <painful>.
I'm healthy - no pharmaceuticals in my diet.
These constant articles in Marketwatch, Motley Fool,CNBC and the like that claim that a person/couple needs 2 million dollars OR MORE !!! socked away to retire always crack me up. They're not talking retiring (a little) early like I did either.

Bought it yesterday at the announcement for 13.33. Sold a few hours later at 51.10. Not to shabby.

Now DWAC is at 131. Kind of wish I had held out.

Why does one website say $109 and a different one says $95?

Still making money the boring way here....starting to wonder when the market is going to go on sale. I have accumulated some dry powder that is set for IRAs and 529 in 2022....hoping to see a dip in late 2021 or early 2022.

IMO The market doesn’t have a choice except to go up. Until they figure out what inflation is. Not trying to be political but they’re saying there is no inflation right now. Apparently the congressman do not shop at the grocery store

Oh, I agree...if everything else is going to get more expensive the stock market surely is too. Just wish I could catch a sale before I top off my 2022 contributions.

We are in truly bizarre times and I think there will be a major correction in the markets soon, but who knows.

I am playing it cool right now. I only make moves when I understand the game. Right now thing are pretty expensive and I don't know where the floor is. Hard pass.
Crypto on the other hand... Doge has a very strong floor and upward pressure. I am watching very closely. ;)

I am positioned 42% in stable value and 38% in stocks in my 401k, and even so I was up a lot for the month, after being basically flat in September.

The day I heard that the wuflu hit Italy in March 2020 I went 100% stable value so didn’t see any loses. On the other had I learned that it was far easier to get out when I did since I was already negative on the market at the time, and conversely really hard to know when to get back in, but glad I decided to do so to the degree I did.

My dad’s stock guy who I believe is very good is telling his clients that we are in the early to mid stage of the cycle, and is almost fully invested. He is preparing his clients for what he is anticipating will be a “bumpy ride.” At age 80 he has seen a lot, and has been on the right side of the markets as long as I have been listening to him.

Where this all stops no one knows, so I am of the mind to keep my regular buys on everything going, and look for opportunities on drops as long as the easy money is flowing from the Fed. There are whispers of a taper, but talk is cheap, and there likely to be a push to get someone in that is more dovish than Powell. Considering the fiscal stimulus package coming, and the fact that this is the most hated rally I can remember, there may a lot more room to run.

I put some $ into staking Wonderland (TIME) crypto. I'm up a few hundred after 12 days just by staking and sitting on it. The next dip I plan on increasing my position.

Few hundred dollars or few hundred percent?

I think BTC just had a major buy signal a week or two ago.
Doge has super strong floor support and a lot of room to run.
