    Comparing red meat to cigarette smoke is like comparing a pebble to a boulder. We went shopping today. Bought 3 pounds of bacon. :drool:. I won't eat it all at once anymore than I would eat all my carrots at once!

    It bugs me that sausage is lumped in as a processed meat. Last I checked ground sausage was just pork with seasoning.

    The supposed culprit in all of them are the Nitrates for flavor and preservation. Secondary concern is the smoke curing, same thing with charred meat that supposedly is a carcinogen.

    Big picture is the amount of trace glyphosate that is entering the food supply via livestock feed.
