Yeah, there's a whole of of treatment methods out there. Over the counter drugs, prescription drugs, heat, ice, backyard drugs, booze, meditation, acupuncture, etc. Bottom line, do what you have to.
I am finally back to the land of the burning. I bought a soot eater and cleaned the chimney today. After getting things cleaned up I got a fire going. It will be expensive getting the oil tank filled this summer seeing we have been burning oil since the 3rd of February Neck is still a bit stiff but I am at least 95% back to what passes for normal for me.
I'm glad you're feeling pretty good . If you have a screen on Your cap, Maybe you should take that off this spring, So you wouldn't Have that problem again , no screen on mine for many years
I have a new round cap on top of the liner that was installed last summer along with the new Lopi. I am planning on opening that up on the sides when it is safe to get back on the roof. I have had to modify chimney caps in the past due to them plugging up.
have a round selkirk cap there is no screen. There is a concentric ring with gaps above the connection and below the top. Never had any one of the three installs of these plug. Too late on the not fall off roof advice, maybe the first doesn't count as I went through the roof, 2nd was hot out side and very old shingles( asphalt type) that just plain disintegated under me both of those were low ranch height, the last was a 2 story about 10 years ago roof jacks let go( i did not install them) lucky only fractured a couple bones in one hand. i do not bounce any more just kinda go splat. current roof apx 12/7 that is just plain scary even when dry. Up ain't bad coming back down I am looking for all the friction I can find even with a rope hooked to the tractor on the off side.
Mines not a screen, but it does restrict flow and builds up there. I take this as a common issue with any sort of screen/ restriction.
