this happened. My 192t would start and run just find but after making a dozen cuts in limb wood, the saw would die and refuse to start. It happened again today so I took a close look at it. The fuel filter looked ok and the air filter wasn't too bad. Then I check the spark plug. The boot was loose. I took it off and found the plug about half way out. I took it all the way out and looked at it. Seemed fine. I put it back in and made sure it was inserted properly. Took it outside and it started right up. Strange things happen and the older I get the more strange things happen
It was 1995, I was driving down a local road after school in my 1975 Fiat (fix it again, Tony) when BLAM! Loud pop under the hood and a whole lotta smoke. Well that's it for this old girl I thought. Popped the hood and had a look around...nothing looking exploded, no holes in the crankcase. Then I spot it...a plug hanging by its wire over the side of the engine. It had unthreaded itself to the point of blowing out of the hole. Grabbed it, threaded it back in...yay, still has threads! Rode home with that one hand tightened. The smoke was from the spilled oil that was down the plug hole, when it shot out, the oil went in and created the smoke screen. It was totally fine after getting a socket on it at home.
How are you recovering from your hip surgery? I'm still gimping around, but will definitely have to have at least one hip done next year.
I am still a bit gimpy. It feels like there is still some swelling. I have to be patient because I was told it usually takes 18 months for total healing. I may not get to using my 362 until next year. Good thing I am on the 3 0r 4 year plan. I still have to figure out how I am going to tend the fire this winter. I am not allowed to sit on the floor.
have you considered raising the hearth? if I knew then what I know now hearth would be 2 foot above floor
Right now it is a choice between my Harbor Freight round stool on wheels and my wife's garden stool. The wheels might make it too interesting trying to stand up again. Remember, I am old
