I think its Hedgefest @ Matt's but im not positive. I went last year it was a ton of fun and Matt was a gracious host. I met a lot of good people and ran some sweet saws.

Drat. Going to be tough to make that one. The weekend or anytime the following week, maybe.

    Maybe next year! :)

    Just saw this..

    Yes Carthage MO.
    December 12th
But there will be folks there the 11th.
I have nothing "officially" planned to accomplish that weekend, so it should allow much more time for discussion and comparisons.
Should be plenty of "Perspective" to go around.
Just some square cant's to run in and a couple log piles to cut on.

I wish I could make it but there is no way right now. Maybe in the future.
Good news I got to spend all afternoon with my two eldest daughters work on a huge old red oak.
Took all yesterday afternoon to handle all the branches with the little 192. That thing makes limbing a joy. (We keep and burn everything an 1" up)
Used the 6100 on the rest today and I am just so pleased with this saw. I never even ran out of fuel and the way it handles in the cut is just so composed and smooth. It is almost effortless. Got her all cleaned up and ready for tomorrow with a fresh chain. If I have time I am going to do a side by side of the 6100 w 24" bar vs my Stihl 056 super with a 20" bar. I know 87 cc should make 61cc look slow and under powered but I have faith in this 6100. Lol so hopefully I will have a video up by next weekend.

Great write up! Flippy caps, mumbles to self and shudders.

You got a terrific saw there. Just don't get CAD and think you need a 7910 to pull 20" B&C.

those are 5105 style custom cut to fit the 6100 and in the picture of the 2 spikes...the one on the left is a 5105 style done to fit the 421. matches up perfect with the stock 5105 outer spike because it jsut isnt fair that the 421 got left out of the dual dawg crowd
