Doing ods n ends

I think it's a good way to go , that way your not splittin good cord wood to make kindling

 

That's what I'm talkin about , gotta get the odds n ends done too

 

I'm working in getting my splitting junk pile cleaned up now that my storage is full. What a mess that black locust made. Sorted out a whole bunch of kindling and got a couple trailer loads of bark and sawdust dumped in the woods. Filled my kindling box on the porch, and a couple more plastic totes.

Not as fun as splitting, but I hauled all those btus up to the house, so waste not, want not!

When I was doing home care visits, I saw a lot of older homes with attached barns and sheds. They often had they wood all stacked in there and sorted out by size. There was a special section for the small stuff to be used in cook stoves. They never had to step out in the snow or ice to get their fuel. I was very envious of that. No such thing as waste in those homes.
