So my awesome wife bought me a 372xp for Christmas in 2016 and of course I got a taste of XP power and realized that to run a two saw setup, my 455 rancher was way too heavy.

    So I sold it yesterday!

Going to use the $ toward a 550xp which seems to have a great power to weight ratio and can handle 75% of what I do with the 372 on hand to roast anything left. Played with 543 and 550 and for the extra pound seemed a no brainer.

    Good call!
I've found my 550xp to be a very fun little animal. After I got 5 or so tanks through it, it really was an eye opener.
    You won't regret it!

550xp is a great saw. I run a 20 inch bar on mine, does just fine in softwoods. And of course it's a fine limbing saw.

I do love that little 60cc saw. Mine wears a 20 inch bar and always has all the power that I really need.
I am about to start a 372xp clone self build and have my MS660 clone already for its milling potential. These last 2 are more for the challenge of a DIY than for actual need. So far the biggest thing I have dropped with the 555 is an 18 inch cherry but it did that without even breathing hard.

I dunno, looks like a bit too much saw for me. I'm not as young as that guy.

BF805D28-6A46-4DAB-9681-F11798C3E278.jpeg First day running the saw, had about 30 mins on it so. Duly impressed! Felled 4 trees, aspens about 16” in diameter, and a plum tree of umpressive size.

The ramp up/acceleration was surprising. Weight, it felt like a toy saw! Overall super excited to welcome mr. 550xp to the family!
