I can't help but wonder if that perhaps is a very unhealthy thing to be doing. Perhaps you might consider doing what usually has to be done when trying to break a habit and that is to replace it with a different type of habit. For example, stopping smoking can be one of the most difficult things to do...but it can be done. First one must want to stop and for goodness sake do not think of it as punishment or something to dread. Then, what would you like you life to be without that habit of drinking so much coffee? What might be a good thing to replace it with (and it does not have anything to do with consuming anything). Rather than relaxing and sipping, how about a relaxing walk and enjoying nature?

This is just a start buy you should get the idea. And sadly I have had some experience in breaking some habits but also now have had experience in getting rid of them and replacing them with something better. Good luck.

Can't help with the coffee thing as I've never even like the smell let alone taste. I used to drink a lot of iced tea though in my early 20's. Once my dad became diabetic, I decided a half a gallon of sweet tea a day probably wasn't the best thing for me so I quit tea. I tried cold turkey but found by the end of the day I was chugging it again so I weaned myself off of it over a couple months. I haven't made any tea in a little over 20 years. I do still enjoy a small glass of it now and then when I'm at my moms.

I have always drank my coffee the same way as my soul looks, black and bitter. Yes I may once every 3 months break down and get a cheerleader coffee that is creamy and sweet but that isn't the problem. High blood pressure, a mild ulcer, and he threatened that this high of consumption at my age(what a young punk) could start to irritate the prostate. I'm trying to dial it back and doing as much tea as I can deal with between cups but old habits are hard to break. I also can't get over how much it is bringing back the feeling of quitting smoking and being deprived. It felt so wrong to take a break and not have a smoke with a cup of coffee, now I'm not supposed to even have the coffee . I know it is for my own good, but this sucks!

Hey....we're a resourceful bunch here at FHC. For example, there are many that make their own firestarters, right?

Well, welcome to the home made toilet paper thread! :rofl: :rofl:

Just my own preference, I/we like Twinings better than Celestial. Their Chai is good. Earl Grey is for wife, I don’t like it.
