My trailer was a pop up camper that I bought for 200 bucks , stripped it down painted the frame and put new decking on it. total got 400 bucks invested, use it to haul all kinds of stuff so it long paid for itself.

I know, right? That lunch did include me and the wifey. He has been pretty good about things but I am watching him. Seems as of late more things are falling in his favor. Little here and a little there.

    I was just teasing you.

Only you can decide if you are being taken advantage of, but a real friend is worth $70.00 too. Boy I would feel really guilty if I got you to thinking, "Jeesh, he did do this, now that I think about it, and did do that".

I got a truck driver for my wood who tips things in his favor most of the time, but every once and awhile he comes through and does me a favor, and everything balances out. In the end it works out.

When buying my bulk delivery of 3 or more ton, yes I pay. 45 bucks and he brings the pallet jack to place them anywhere I want them.

No brainer as it costs more in time, fuel, wear and tear o the truck and on me

And as Sub endorsed, this is the guy to buy from if you are in our area. Very good pellets and service. You can go get your own, but you won't do it any cheaper when you add in your cost. The man puts the pellets right where I want them. A HUGE plus for me. I don't know how he does it. I tried to tip him, he wouldn't take it. I try to tip most of the delivery folks. Their efforts ware worth a reward. I couldn't do it by myself.

I usually move my own pellets so I get a nice work out loading and unloading. Last pellet hauler I had was a Jeep Patriot and I could move the pellets 1/2 ton at a time (for very short trips) but usually it was 15-20 bags because I was hauling long distances. Now I have an Explorer and can carry more.

During the fire sales spring 2016 I bought a lot of tonnage when L*wes was offering $29 delivery for at least 3 tons (I'm 30 miles away so that is a great deal). Also got several tons of pellets from HD while getting other stuff delivered so delivery was essentially free (I would have paid that $65 anyway to have the non-pellet items delivered).

This is the first year that I've gotten a ton since owning the Explorer and found I can get the full ton in there. TSC just opened up in my area a year ago and is within a couple miles from me - wouldn't load it that high if I had to go the 30 miles. But have hauled 30 bags for 40 miles in the Explorer previously.

Keep thinking about getting a trailer but don't really have anyplace to keep it and if I can't fit it in the Explorer, I probably can't move it by myself anyway.

I've never had any delivered , always picked up . A couple of the places I buy from let me split the ton , pay for it take 1/2 then pick up the other 1/2 the next day . I like the Lowe's deal , just not crazy about the varieties they have in stock that I would want 3 tons of .

Well, when I paid $100/ton, I really didn't care what they sent as long as it burned. $629 for six tons just couldn't be passed up.

I'm thinking of grabbing a ton of Chow's. What do you have available up there?
