Hey Fellas, took a little time off of FHC. When it gets hot in the south I don't even want to THINK of fires or firewood.

Summertime is when I get other stuff done, like working on my shop. Added a 10 foot wide by 28 foot long lean-to off the side of the shop for extra storage. It slopes up in the back. I might have dug it out IF the neighbors power supply doesn't run right through the middle of it. Instead I made a walkway so I can access all the way to the back standing up. I plan I putting 1x4s horizontally between the posts and adding a gate to the front to make it more secure.

This extra storage will allow me to get stuff out of the shop that does not need to be in there. For instance, grills, yard tools, pressure washer, mower, weed eater, coolers etc. This will free up room for the stuff that DOES need to live in the shop.

Speaking of that, remember the main reason I wanted to build this shop was because I was inheriting my dad's tools from his garage. WELL! I went up there a week ago and filled up a trailer and my truck with all the good stuff from my dad's garage. So much goos stuff in there. Most excited about his tool box, filled with every tool imaginable. We were not allowed in it as kids so when I got it home I was like a kid in a candy store inspecting every drawer. Stay tuned for more dad tool reveals!

More progress! Built a wall dividing the main shop area from the 2 back rooms. One a store room, one a metal fab room.

This has gained me some much needed wall space for these kick azz cabinets from my dads garage, his tool chest and a nice little workbench with countertops and metal base cabinet I pulled out of my friends retro kitchen when she had it redone. It is going to be a little fix it station for lack of a better explanation. Working on chainsaws, small engines, cleaning guns, etc. Going to have the pegboard dialed in with all of the tools I will need for most task etc.
