I can't do that as i have heat shield on both sides of my stove so as to have the stove closer to my walls..so very little radiant heat....
btw: my probe by the window was long ago when i was exsprimenting on where to put it.
i now have it taped to the back of the hopper just peaking out above the hopper lid..
the back of the stove is usually the coolest spot in the house and doesn't get any heat[ corner install anyways] thereby eliminating false [ room is warm] temp reading to the probe.

I can't shut the blower off on my harman. That I'm aware of, anyway.

In stove temp mode, turn the igniter toggle switch to Manual. The blower will shut off. Do that in Room Temp mode and the stove won't shut down.

Next time you shut the stove down, don’t forget to set the igniter switch back to auto...

Sorry, been busy, again.Yes,most Harman's I have seen will get the glass dirty when running in manual mode,as will most stoves, running on low.AS mine is,right now.My Integra will do it much faster,it is most happy running at 1/2 to 3/4 setting, but too much heat. Anyway,as far as using "fireplace" mode(no or little convection fan), turn the feed rate down, and the room blower will cycle on much less. As far as the end of the auger melting off, should not be an issue with the newer feeder unit (2008? and up?) or any of the older units that have installed the air bypass hose kit. Also, will touch on something few seem to know, the air wash tube, that runs from the back of stove,at the fresh air inlet,up to the air wash vents, for the glass, slowly builds up with ashes, over time. Not supposed to,but does. And this can lead to the glass getting dirtier faster.Might not even be ashes, but dirt, cat hair, leaves particles, etc.Vacuuming out at the "vents" with a strong vac works well for most people. These are the slots below the glass. The proper way to clean this system, after so many years,is to remove the fresh air housing intake,in the rear, and you can see the port for the air wash, and blow compressed air through it.Turn on stove so combustion blower is running,so no mess inside house.I bet DON has already made a special bent blower nozzle,so he does not have to remove the flapper, and use a new gasket, lol!.Some people have adapted a small hose,to slip down into the slotted openings, but have never seen one. Some people have never tried to clean this system, end up taking their stove out side, and blowing everything out with compressed air, then think stove is burning better, because glass stays cleaner longer.Anyway, this usually is not an issue until the unit has some miles on it,not a yearly thing, just something a good stove tech does when servicing a unit.

Hey, good to know I'm not wasting my time vacuuming those air vents. When needed, I tend to knock off any ash/debris from over the air wash when I'm scraping the pot. Never thought about blowing air thru the fresh air intake though.
