Difference in ms250/251?

I will get online at work next week. I think our local dealer/stihl site has a compare feature.

 

Ok so the stihl is a no go.

There not on our vendor list. Without to much explaining it will be too difficult and too many eyes will be on the purchase if we try to buy stihl.

Thats said it looks like makita is easy to get and on the list. So what models do I want to look for , for my stated use. I want to stay in the 40-50cc range.

There is also a Solo availible but its a 40cc i think it was a 643??? Model number or something. Does that sound right? Is it decent quality. Thats the only solo he sees.

Dolmar is not in the "catolouge". if they would let me buy uses there is a nice 036 id snap up in the classifieds..or was yesterday!!

You know who I work for Dex...we dont/can't buy used. If you did not know that about is you do now.

 

There is a 3120xp though on the approved list ...boss even mentioned it joking. Said it says $1600 . I said yea and thats a 120cc saw i dont want that for the truck...i dont want to lift that to trim a road out! Fun to have though...but seriously it was a joke anyway.

 

Thought the dolmar and making were same saw minus the plastic. Why would it matter the name? Curious

I learned about 6 months into this job not to ask questions. You will just keep head scratching. Also and if it makes sense and we dont do it that way...just dont worry about it and do it how they want.

 

Haha Yea that would be a wise idea.

Stayed home today for the woodshed install (check out my thread in the firewood neighborhood).. but will try and see what I can order tomorrow or next week.
