Little guy with two thumbs up !!! (Did we have fun picking wood daddy) Thats what he said to me when we got done bucking and stacking this blow down i got from the RR bed that borders my property. So many logs along there i need to get. I patrol about a mile of it for the horses and snowmobile people, joggers etc. I have only used about 1/2 cord of my winter wood this season so far because iv been burning the kiln dried scraps from the pallet company and taking advantage of no snow and getting alot of old storm wood and dry dead standing off the rr bed and my property. These mild temps iv only been burning quick hot fires in the Am and Pm. Its gettin pretty cold now though so i will probably be burning more.

That is great; both that you got to spend time with your son like that and also that you keep the trail open for others.
The problem is the right people. Our DCNR collects motorized money and uses it to buy ground make rail trails we're not allowed on!!! Atv's are the only vehicle thats required by the state to be licensed and insured, but not allowed on state roads. And to top that off, the DCNR requires helmets but if there is a section of public/township road that is open to atv's, motorcycles are not required to wear a helmet while the atv'ers are. And if thats not all ridiculous enough, we are the only state in the union left that has a separate fish, game and forest commission.All with their own vehicles, buildings, equipment, officers, land and land use rules and regs.
