$1,000,000 idea right there.... Then again, cat $hit flavored dog food would make our two pups super happy....
Opening a can of tuna or getting out some roast beef will do that for one of my cats - sometimes he really digs the rotisserie chicken I get from the grocery store. He will stretch way up, like your kitty, to make sure I know that he wants a hand out and will take it right from my hand. The other cat doesn't like human food at all but does love canned tuna chunks of a certain brand of cat food (but won't touch tuna flakes - go figure).
Same here, Lila wildcat has zero interest in human food, but the new kitten eats anything and everything. Yes, that's a loaf of bread he's trying to steal while I was cleaning up.
This cat, who is normally wonderfully aloof, acts like a crack addict when the flakes come out. A brief moment of joy in this world for everyone involved.
Most of the cats we've had would not lift a whisker with the shake of a dry food box unless their bowl had been empty for a while, but breach the lid of a tin can with any kind of can opener and they'd be chumming up to your ankles before the lid was off the can. They must learn the sound of a rustled pouch just as quick.
Most of my cats have preferred dry food. One of my cats will eat just a bit of canned food (tuna - but only of a certain brand - and not pate'), but mostly goes for the kibble. I had a brother/sister team that wouldn't touch canned food for nothing - even as 8 week old kittens (when I got them). My formerly feral cat isn't usually picky but prefers softer food (canned or otherwise). Had a couple of rescues that didn't care for canned either.. Then I had cats that never saw canned food in their life (to my knowledge) so never got the chance to express a preference.
