I take it as needed Few hours before walking 18 hole of golf & before jobs like wood cutting. Not sure if you take it 3 or 4 time every day, what the side effect might be. Sometimes it's good to know what hurts
I do take as little as possible. I'm glad I don't have to rely on ibuprofen. I have been on tramadol for about 3 years now.. Was on hydrocodone before that for about a year. [quote="Backwoods Savage, post: 109417, Believe me guys, you are better off to not take that stuff if at all possible.[/quote]
Same here. When I do take it its 2 of the 220mg Naproxen tablets.Rarely is it needed more than 1 day a week, either at the end of the day of overdoing it or the morning before a busy day is expected.I've noticed that with weather/barometric pressure/sudden cold fronts or storms that gets things hurting quicker than actual over use of my muscles. Most I ever did was one really grueling week a month or so back when I took 2 tabs every morning 4 days in a row.Never took more than 2 tabs in a 24hour period,so I don't know what the effects would be.
Only take Tylenol if on screech. No ibu. Can mess with fluid retention, kidney function. Young people seem to be more tolerant, but as you age, your body is less tolerant of chemical warfare. Even with this broken knee, I have declined pain meds. But I don't have to work, so when in pain, I rest. I'm very over wt and so have no expectations of being free of aches until I take the additional stress of this weight off my body. I try to work on it, but so far I am too inconsistent.
I'll do the first 7-9 pounds with you, I weighed in at 207 this morning so I'll start today, it's a great day to start. All ice cream is gone until I hit 200.
It's possible I might have just had your ice cream about a 1/2 hr ago... I skip a meal when I do that tho.
Have not used Ibu for 3 days so far and I can tell. Aches and pains are more on the front burner. Too soon to tell if there's any change in stomach or kidney discomfort. Haven't been very active the last 3 days too.
Sounds good. I eat a lot of mixed vegs for the supper routine. Haven't had a regular meal then for over 8 months. Can't imagine how big I'd be if I was still digging into my favorites... meat & taters at 5 PM...
I have terrible migraines and bad leg pain. My meds are IBU, Excedrin, Fenoprofin, flubiprofi and diclofenac depending on severity. Most have been taken over the last 13 years or so and I have had very high blood pressure, diarrhea, rebound migraines, body shakes and stomach pain... This is normal stuff when you take high doses of the meds. Just recently I have stopped all but Excedrin and Excedrin tension prescription strength. The difference is night and day! There are a few other meds I take but those are for completely different reasons and proven to not be the cause.
Yup, I'm interested in how things will go without the Ibu. I've taken way too much over the years. I'll know perty quick when I've got at the firewood for a while.
I don't take ibu every day and when I do its usually just in the morning. Right now I'm taking prednisone for a sinus infection, don't need ibu, and my back feels great
I take it once in awhile sometimes a few days in a row. This last winter My joints/muscles were in such pain Ibu wasn't working. Lil woman turned me on to Aleve. That chit is the bomb. Lost 60 lbs in the last 18 months and can't say it's made a lick of difference in pain factor. My goal is 100. Then I'll be down to my early 20's fighting weight.
Predisone, that is some stuff. I had a back ache that wasn't responding to anything. I got bronchitis and the doctor gave me prednisone. In three days the back ache was gone add stayed gone !
No Ibu sucks... there, I said it. Feel like chit and about like I do after bulling. Haven't done much of anything. Bad case of lackawanna. That's my "report" for the morning... Weeeeeeeeeee...
You eat like a horse? How does that hay and oats digest? Any problem there? How about taste? Is alfalfa better than clover? Do your turds change shape?
