    You cant go wrong at that price. I despise holiday shopping, but if I needed a splitter I would have been at Menards on Friday morning, no question about it lol.

    I'm curious to hear if the wheel placement is a pain when using it in horizontal mode. I had been considering this model, but never noticed the lay out was like that. Northern tool and TSC all have pretty similarly priced models as well with the county line and powerhorse

    Regaurding the wheel placement on the splitter. DHT could have done something different. First time i used the splitter i split a third of a cord and i found myself adjusting my body position until i was comfortable. ( i did find a sweet spot) next time i used it i split a full cord in one shot,and i must have learned to work my way around it because it didn't bother me a bit. Very happy with this splitter,and i don't think i could ever beat the deal. On a side note just spoke with manager at my local menards and he said he heard threw the grape vine they my run the same deal again right after the first of the year. Keep your eye's open.     That's for sure.... wish I had bought a big splitter long ago..... Now I'm saying the same thing about a Stihl saw also....
