My father has never smiled. Every pic I have he is like a rock. He has been and will always be my best friend. I hope and pray that my relationship with my kids will be the same. Even when I take the pic and say "Smile". It never happens. Sorry to Hijack Shawn..
Heck...Not only that, but if you all got together, you'd be almost halfway to being able to make a Snow White Sequel!!
The Fall Firewood Cutting Season is nearly upon us! :stacke: With the kiddies back in school, and cooler weather moving in, it seems it's already begun for some. If you're interested in one of my sawbucks, here's your chance! I've wrapped up a couple big projects that needed completing, and now I'm getting ready to do another run of these. I'm not sure when I'll be doing another. Let me know ASAP if you want one because I'll be getting all the materials together this weekend.
Shipped a couple of these out on Friday. I'll keep offering them for the original price, or "the works" (logo+finish+shipping) for a simplified price of $200 shipped. These ones are all spoken for, but just send me a PM anytime if you're interested. I would also be consider a trade for a 36" 3/8 .063 lightweight bar for 3003 mount.
You know, I thought about bringing my wood burning pen with me to your GTG, but I ended up bringing so much saw stuff, I forgot about it. I just made a tracing of the logo, then I use some carbon paper to transfer it to the wood. I think I still have your address kicking around in my PMs somewhere. I'll stick a tracing and a square of transfer paper in an envelope and send it your way.
PM me or text me if you need the addy again. I can send a few bucks your way for shipping and your time?
Made up another batch this week. I've got an extra one this time; so I've got 1 in stock if anyone else is interested.
Well that one's gone now too. Some guys on another site discovered them, and now they want me to make some for them too. I've got another batch on the way in about a week.
Man you keep it up you won't have any time to make firewood. Time to start mailing some pine, to cut down on the cost
Well I finally got time to get mine together this morning, before splitting some wood. But I took it out this afternoon for its maiden voyage on some mulberry. It's very sturdy, should come in real handy with the longer poles. It will be quite a bit different from cutting on the ground, so I'll have some getting use to that... Especially for getting my 16" ish cuts. But with practice, I'll get the hang of it. Thank you again Shawn!
You're welcome! Looks sharp, if I do say so myself! I like 16" splits too - here's what I do. The legs on the "short" side are spaced 16"OC, so you can sort of use that as a visual guide. These days, I like to measure my pieces out to 80" - that's the length of my wood trailer, and it works great on the sawbuck too. I can get 5 16" rounds - the first 2 come off the ends, next cut in the "short" side, last cut in the "long" side.
How do you get them big logs onto the sawbuck? edit: never mind, you explained it on page one of this thread
I've got to make another one of these for the AdirondackStihl fundraiser. I'll probably make a couple extra, so if you're interested let me know.
