    Canadian made solar panels.
    There is a pretty active solar panel/ off grid base in Fairbanks.
    Seems there is a Canadian manufacturer that makes the best available.
    As I am off grid, I have done some researching on what it will take to shut the generator off and still turn on the lights.

    Put a hook on the mantle and hang your favorite hard hat on it. When u go to fool with the stove, put your brain bucket on First.
    That way, u get the lesson with minimal pain !

    You won't be dissappointed replacing the FV for the Progress, I did it and never looked back. I have the same problems, cathedral ceiling and 2300 sq ft house were just too much space to heat for the FV.

    The Progress gives reliable 12+ hour burn times and has an ashpan! Yes the ashpan is technically optional but I would get it.
