Well turkey is thawed, rubbed and injected!
Oil level is set got to go plow the 6” of heavy white stuff off the driveway and set up the burner stay tuned!
Used a rub of 2T Black pepper, 2 T kosher salt and 2T garlic powder then shot it up with a 50/50 melted butter/ apple juice mix

You are past the most dangerous part. Now just avoid knocking it over or splattering yourself on removal and enjoy a darn good Christmas feast!

Oh wait, no, what you should do is run out and get 40 lbs of chicken wings to fry up when the turkey is done and then PM me your address. Nothing like fresh hot Buffalo wings to take out the sting from the inevitable Bill’s loss.

I was trying to avoid it o_O
Kind of thought it would be fun after it’s done to put it out back and shoot at it though:whistle:

Lil' late but I brine and inject. Rub tends to dirty up the erl.
After the deed and the oil cools, I use cheese cloth or similar and pour the oil through it in a funnel for reuse. Love me some deep fried!

Just finished eating most of it for lunch! Even my wife, who is usually grossed out by carved up turkey was picking out the crunchy pieces

Very nice! I haven’t fried a turkey in while. I’ve been on a smoking craze the last few years
