Looks very nice. I didn’t read your whole thread but do you have a plan for finishing the underside ?
The shade and being able to enjoy the deck in rain will be great! I helped my in-laws a couple years back with a similar plan but their house roof is only 2/12 pitch and they wanted the post and beam look like your early pictures. We used cedar for the face “truss” built primarily for looks even with some brass tin for gussets. I came across bunch of rough cedar and used it for the underside between the rafters
    Can’t find any pics though

I planned the trusses for a future ceiling but I don’t think I want to deal with it.
Got the gable end trim on this morning and tried sliding the side wall flashing up under the siding and it’s getting snagged on a house wrap seam. Knew I probably should have installed it before the panels.

Finished the roof and flashing yesterday and came home to a 10x8 roll up blind hanging from one gusset and my step ladder half AZZ propping it up. Some times a Friday afternoon with nothing to do would be nice.

So I started the morning putting tools away and debating what to do with the 2x10 that I had already cut earlier in the project- probably a lean to on the garage.
Then new light fixtures arrived with another roll down shade sticking out the window of her camaro.

Shades do work well coolaroo brand. As the sun moves into the southern sky from here on out it will cast under the shaded space.

Seems like you always have a project lined up. I have to say you sure do a good job on them. Now lets hope you get to sit and enjoy them.

Looks great basod Any thoughts of running power? Some nice lighting and a ceiling fan may come in handy.

Yep going to pull a circuit up from the pool sub panel for an overhead fan a couple accent lights and probably put an LED flood light for the grill.
