It does get down in the single digits and I've seen zero a couple times in my 12 years here in this area of central AL. Plan on filling the remaining void with great stuff for worry free living.
Spray foam to the rescue around the faucet cutout! You could run a short length of hose from the frost proof bib to the side of the deck with another shut off for easy control.
Not much headway, just pouring money in the ground. These four are the beam footings, takes a bit more planning to get the final grade with perfect pitch from house when working solo. 26 80lb bags and 100' of rebar between the ledger beam and these four. There will be three more by the pool stairs after I get the top framed. Now it's pool time
basod trying to find level by your self is a bear!! In case you forget. How deep are your footings?? Look to be 2 by 2?
It's not bad temporarily setting each rim joist squaring each side then dropping down 10.5" to account for beam depth and standoff plate Yes 2x2x6" deep they range from 32" deep on one side to 24" on the other. Not for frost heaving as that's non existent here more rotational and uplift. You think three 80lb bags Per footing plus sonar tube is enough?
There yes!! Maybe a Lil overkill.. Here, I wish, code is 5 feet deep.. What is up lift?? I guess rising, I thought only frost did that.. Hence frost heaves..
We have these things called tornadoes down here or tropical depressions as hurricanes rarely hold together this far inland
Yes. Have access to a lowes mixer at work but it is the most confounded thing to dump- won't fill a wheelbarrow to save its life
Yep. I think it's a new word the kids use these days that means " cool" or "awesome". But given the choices in his poll....yes. Sexy.
The weather isn't cooperating- Alberto dumping plenty of needed rain though. The sun beating down on Thursday made the far right forms shrink ~1/2"-3/8" before I covered them so some shim blocks for the beam will be needed. Moved the pool pump and sand filter temporarily out of the way and removed the old staircase while concrete was curing.
Not sure about what you meant about your "Shrinkidge" but your going to have an awesome set up when your done...Nice...
