    I fired up the 445 this morning. Ran about a tank full of fuel through it.

    It meets expectations. I was noodling a number of rounds that were crotchy. Is that a word? It is now.

    I kept checking the new chain, to make sure there wasn't any slop. There wasn't.

    I performed about a dozen stop/starts. Each restart was 1 or 2 pulls.

    I think it's a keeper. :cool:

    For the money, the echo makes a great saw. There's also dollar/ Makita... Those 5100 series are nice

    Yup - I saw the suggestion. I wanted a saw that my existing chains would fit. I didn't want to have to separate chains for my main saw, and my backup.
