Well it's been over 100 the last 3 days. It was 100 in the shade at 4pm today. Kids said it was 103 at the farm house. My boy and I went to pick up some firewood around 8pm and it was still around 96f. Humidity is really low for Missouri, like 48% relative humidity at 10:45 at night.

Hot air holds more moisture than cooler air so 48% at 96 degrees still means there is a lot of water vapor in the air.

yep, this is why it's never advisable to state RH when referring to humidity. It's called relative for a reason....it's relative to the temperature.

96° air with 48% RH has a dew point of 73°! This is a -VERY- far cry from having low humidity.

Hotter than 3 of the 4 Hells here.
Split wood early yesterday, stacked later.
So far, if I drink lotsa water and limit coffee, I do fine out there.
    Flushes the system like.
    Sweat on!

It's low for parts of Missouri. I grew up next to the Mississippi River. It was almost always maximum air saturation down in the bottoms.

I do understand that it's still high total water content. It's just low on the relative humidity scale.

Just a couple days , although it threatened everyday with those pop up thunderstorms.
What I thought was interesting is stores put “ umbrella plastic bags “ at the entrances .

In past years we usually have highs with 90s -80s% relative humidity. The last 4 days we've had relative humidity down to 19% with a dew point of 54f.
